What is PPP? 

PPP (Public Private Partnership) in The Netherlands is a collective name for various relationships between public bodies and private companies.
Traditionally the term had been used for those projects carried out jointly by the Dutch government and a private company. 

In 1999, the government offered for tender the first concession PPP Project, in which the design, construction, management and maintenance were contracted out to the private sector, along with the financing. The advent of this type of project meant that PPP took on an additional meaning, the term often not being correctly used.
