Strukton Integrale Projecten is founding member of the new PPS Netwerk Nederland. The purpose of this platform is to assist public parties in evaluating their investment decisions. A main question in this is whether the projects should be financed and carried out by conventional means or through a Public Private Partnership (PPP).

Added value of PPP
In a Public Private Partnership, the government and business community work together as full partners. In this way innovation and creativity are stimulated and better, cheaper solutions are the result. For example for the problems of accessibility, accommodation and sustainability. It is also estimated that a successful application of PPP is capable of yielding €2 billion for the government (and thus for society as a whole). PPS Netwerk Nederland does not claim that a PPP is the answer to all problems. The aim is to ensure that public clients enjoy the added value which can be created through a PPP.

Independent help desk
In order to be able to make a conscientious assessment, public clients should know how a PPP functions and which evaluation criteria may be employed in this. In addition, exchanging knowledge and experience with users in practical circumstances is necessary.  PPS Netwerk Nederland offers an independent help desk where public parties can go with their questions about PPP. For example, they can have a quick scan by a team of experts done free of charge and in this way assess whether PPP will bring added value to their project. 

Sharing knowledge
Success in PPP can only be achieved if parties in the market are willing to input and share their knowledge. Strukton Integrale Projecten wants to stimulate further development of PPP in the Netherlands and feels responsible to help and educate all parties involved. Strukton Integrale Projecten also plays a leading role in three of the six contracted Dutch PPP Projects (AHR Delfland, Montaigne lyceum and the renovation of the Ministry of Finance) and takes part in all current contracts. Through this experience, valuable expertise has been gained which, among other things, is made available to others through the PPS Netwerk Nederland.
