As of 14 March Mr E.A. (Erik) Hermsen has been appointed statutory director of Strukton Integrale Projecten (Integrated Projects). He succeeds Mr Heine van Nieuwenhuijze, who left the organisation as of the same date.
Mr Hermsen (39) has worked for Strukton since 1999, for the last two years in the role of manager Strukton Integrale Projecten. He is personally involved in two of the PPP projects that Strukton won as partner in various consortia: AHR Delfland and the pilot school project Montaigne Lyceum in Ypenburg.
PPP concessions are Public Private Partnerships, in which the government grants the realisation and management of a construction project to a private consortium, for a lengthy period. These projects cover the entire lifecycle of design and construction plus the management and maintenance period. Strukton regards further development of PPP concessions as being strategically important to the company. Through Strukton Integrale Projecten and its expertise, Strukton fulfils a leading role in this field in The Netherlands.
Mr Van Nieuwenhuijze (42) has been appointed Commercial Director at Hopman Interheem Group, an independent real estate developer based in Gouda, The Netherlands.
