Government Buildings Agency announces new projects

30 | 05 | 2005

Of the nine previously announced accommodation projects which have been subjected to a Public Private Comparator (PPC) by the Government Buildings Agency (GBA), four were selected to be carried out as Public Private Partnerships (PPP).

These were definitively announced by the Council of Ministers, namely:
• New estate tax collection office in Doetinchem
• New estate and renovation of Court of Law in Zwolle
• New estate of deportation centre in Rotterdam
• New estate of penitentiary (location still to be determined)

Besides these projects, as of 1 January 2005 a guideline became effective whereby all projects of the GBA with a contract value of more than 25 million euro should be subjected to a PPC test. At a recent congress in Brussels Mr Louk Heijnders of the GBA announced that some 11 projects a year will be subjected to this test and that about 5 projects a year will be brought to the market by the GBA. At this same congress Strukton Integrale Projecten - as partner in TalentGroep - gave a presentation to the first successful PPP project in the field of accommodation in the Netherlands. Strukton is one of the consortia competing for the project to renovate the Ministry of Finance in The Hague, the second pilot project for accommodation in the Netherlands. For this tender Strukton is part of Safire, a consortium consisting of ABN AMRO, Burgers Ergon, GTI and ISS Nederland. Safire will submit its bid on 15 June.
